Internationaal Vrouwendag Concert

Het is weer tijd voor de opening van het nieuwe jaar! Daarom organiseren we het Internationaal Vrouwendag Concert. Met na afloop “Mimosa Cocktails” en andere drankjes in het Paulus Potterhuis. Barokmuziek voor en door vrouwen in de Blauwe Salon van het Van Balckeneynde Huis. Muziek van Isabella Leonarda, Barbara Strozzi, Tarquinio Merula, Francesco Cavalli, Giovanni Girolamo Kapsberger, Bellerofonte Castaldi en meer….

Biografie musici:

Heleen Bongenaar, soprano, started with singing lessons with Sylvia van der Vinne when she was 13. She has been doing competitions since she was 18 years old and has won prizes in differens competitions, f.e. the Prinses Christina Concours.

She finished her Bachelor in Classical Singing at the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag with a 9 under the teaching of Noa Frenkel, Peter Kooij, Dorothee Mields, Robin Blaze and Jill Feldman. Heleen is now doing her Master in Early Music singing, also in Den Haag. She sings often as a soloist in oratorio works, baroque operas and contemporary works. As a choir member she has worked with f.e. Philippe Herreweghe, Ton Koopman, Daniel Reuss and Harry Christophers. 

The American-Korean lutenist, Talitha Witmer started studying the renaissance lute at age 13. She finished her Bachelor and Master in lute and theorbo under Joachim Held and Mike Fentross at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. Recent performances as a soloist and a continuo player have included festivals such as Modena Grandezze, Meraviglie Festival Musicale Estense, Festival de musique Baroque d’Ambronay, Utrecht Early Music Festival. She performs in Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, Japan, Latvia, the Netherlands, and Portugal. As a soloist she currently focuses on renaissance music and repertoires for early Italian theorbo.
